In a recent post, I quoted from the U-M Clements Library, “In darkness dwells the people which knows its annals not.” It seems we don’t know our history, given that it has been corrupted in the telling for a century plus. we have to come to terms with the truth if we are not just to survive as a nation but to survive justly.
